Hi, I’m Ian Copland. I created this blog as a means to document all the projects I have worked on.

I graduated from The University of Abertay Dundee with an Upper Second Class BSc(hons) in Computer Games Technology in 2010. My honours project investigated into the development and optimisation of a physics engine on a limited handheld device such as the iPhone. This involved using the iPhones Vector Floating Point Unit and ARM assembly to increase the speed of math functions.

I’ve now been working in the Games Industry as a programmer for two years. My first position was at Realtime Worlds working as part of the Project: MyWorld team. After Realtime Worlds collapsed I moved on to work at mobile developer Tag Games.

In addition to Programming I of course enjoy playing computer games. I especially enjoy Dragon Age, the Final Fantasy series and Uncharted. I also love playing guitar, listening to music, reading and of course havin’ a drink or two down the pub :-) I’ve spent the last couple of years living with my lovely girlfriend Leyla.
